What is there to say about WMF that hasn’t already been said? It is an Indianapolis legend. During my lunch, I was thinking about the conversations that happen with the staff and owners.
Do you think that we should have a website? Nah.
What about fix the floor? Nothing wrong with that….
Do you think that we should carry fancy bourbon that people are ordering? Um…why, we have Jim Beam and Early Times?!
What about a twitter page? A what?!
If your order anything better than a High Life at WMF, you deserve a kick in the nuts.
What I Ate: Double Cheese, Onion Rings, Iced Tea. About $9ish.
The burger is fantastic. Crunchy edges all over the place. A ton of meat on a double, a single would probably do if you wrote other blogs like my tablemate from Indianapolis Restaurant Scene. The produce is iceberg lettuce, raw onions and tomato. The bun is a slight step better than the standard 8 pack type.
The onion rings were really good as well. I am not sure if they are handmade, but they flat out hit the spot that day. Pretty standard, but pretty tasty. Service was friendly and attentive with a side of being called “hun.”
Would I Buy It Again? Yes. There is a reason it is a legend, but it is awesome. It is the Wrigley Field of burger joints.
