I like watching Triple D sometimes, and I enjoyed the segment on Jersey’s Cafe the other night but I can’t effin believe someone likes Guy Fieri enough to have a whole blog dedicated to him and his show.
Give me Adam Richman over Guy Fieri anyday.
@Erin: I used to agree with you on the Adam over Guy thing, but I think I’ve switched. Guy, while a tool, at least seems to have a firm grasp of what he’s talking about. I lost all respect for Adam when he came to Indianapolis and gushed all over everything in that episode…it made me question his tastes and knowledge. I’m sure it’s the same with Guy gushing over everything as well, but he just seems more knowledgeable from a culinary perspective and I respect that.
I was pleasantly surprised by what I saw in the episode featuring the Steer-In… good effort put into their meatballs/meatball sub and the beef (with a stock featuring roasted bones, etc).
@tom
I was similarly impressed with the stuff I saw at Jersey’s. They’re doing a lot of stuff in house and to order. Which explains both why the food is fresh and good but also takes a while.
@indianapoliseater I just think Adam Richman is hot. LOL! Seriously though, Guy annoys me with all his dumb quips. If I have to hear him talk about “flavor town” one more time, I might scream. I think Adam is funny and genuine but I have to agree with you on the culinary knowledge. And MVF definitely could have picked better Indianapolis restaurants, but I doubt he has much say in what locations they use.
@Erin. when we get bored, my husband and I play a drinking game. Anytime Guy makes up a word or takes a trip to flavor town we take a drink. LOL
