I really enjoy getting e-mails from people that read the blog. SDB sent me a lead about some pizza on the south side and then we started talking tacos. Quickly realizing that we were on the same page about our local scene, I asked if he was interested in writing for the site.
I asked him what he likes to cook and he said “I love to use my smoker and I like making sausage.” I opted not to use “sausage” in his title, so therefore Smokin’ DB was born. SDB is a media executive an IU and Notre Dame graduate that lived in Colorado before returning home to Indiana. Throughout his career, he has traveled coast to coast dining at our country’s best restaurants. SDB’s favorite foods are Mexican/Tex Mex, pizza, and BBQ.
He lives on the south side of Indianapolis and will be concentrating on local independents…or whatever he wants.
His first post is tomorrow, tackling “World Famous Roast Beef.”
Please welcome…

SOUTH SIDE! Finally! I keep telling my family about the restaurants I see on your blog, and they’re always put off by how far they have to go to get there. Now we can go get some good grub down South!
So what was the pizza place?
Brozinni Pizzera.
I thought so. Best pizza that I’ve had in Indy.
Ditto Brozinni’s. Flap Jacks on South Madison (north of Thompson) is a locally owned small business. Great breakfast and lunch.
