Check this thing out. Per the LA Weekly Food Blog, the people at Break.com have set out to build the ultimate Super Bowl party appetizer/snack spread. Oh wait, sorry, the ultimate “Big Game” snack spread (it’s so stupid how the NFL has trademarked the name Super Bowl so everyone that is a non-official sponsor has to call it “The Big Game”).
So anyway, just take a look at that picture. It is freaking awesome. If I showed up at a party and saw that thing, I would probably faint from the sheer joy of seeing that much food constructed in such a cool way. Once I woke up, I’d try to find a way to eat at least one of the stadium’s corners on my own.
The best part of this model is the care that they took in building this thing. In addition to building the field and the surrounding stadium out of food products, they also took enough care to build a surrounding parking lot including cars made out of Twinkies. LOL, I love it.
And just to top it all off, they even have a caloric count for the entire project and it is astronomical. You can read the specific breakdown of calories per section (field, stadium, parking lot) in the blog post, but when you add it all together you come up with a total calorie count of 110,428 calories. WOW. I thought this thing was cool already just because of the way it looked, but when you add in a calorie count that gluttonous, this whole project just even gets better.
Enjoy the game and we’ll be back with more posts next week!
