First review is here:  The Burrito Joint Review.

In my first review, I really liked The Burrito Joint.   A lot of good things going on here and I had one of the better Al Pastor burritos that I have ever tried.   On my revisit, I had to have a burrito again.  Based on a reader recommendation, I tried the Carne Asada.

Honestly, it was good, but not as good as the Al Pastor.   I found the meat to be a little bland.  It could’ve used a little salt, lime, pepper…something!  The quality is still on par and it is a huge burrito, but they have not perfected the Carne Asada preparation.   Still an awesome value for $4.50 for that huge of a burrito.

Would I Buy It Again?  Yes, and adding it to our Recommended: Independent List. This burrito was solid, A+ on value and it was pretty tasty.  On my 3rd visit, I am either going to go back to the Pastor, or they have steak milanesa as an option (Pretty rare to find around here on a burrito.  Basically, it’s country fried steak and it could be tasty).

  9. Yeah, I do like The Office. But my friends and I were doing “That’s what she said” long before the show was around, lol. It’s an old joke, believe it or not!

  11. I am a Mexican from Chicago so I have been waiting to try this place. Ordered the Burrito Al Pastor… tasted great.. unfortunately it did not sit well with my stomach an hour later. The same thing happened to the friend I was with. Would I try it again.. call me a sadist but I will still give the place another chance. Still think Los Comales is still the best taco joint in the city.

  12. Did you go to Los Comales in Chicago? Did you see my review? good, but I didn’t love it. Try it again…I have never had the problem that you guy did. I find it to be pretty clean overall, at least for what it is.

  14. I did go to the one in the Little Village all the time.. favorite taqueria is Atotonilco on 26th st.

I do like your taste in taqueria’s and I will give the “Joint” another try. How did you like the taqueria at Guanajuato on Shadeland?

  17. @lazy… Guanajuato is still my favorite in the city. El Pastorcito has great carnitas and goat. You should give it a try. There are a few north of Comales (38th and High school) that I have yet to try….but I think that I have hit the majority of them in Indy.
