Review: Taco Bell – Volcano Double Beef Burrito
Author: WIBIA | Filed under: Food ReviewsWhat I Got: Volcano Double Beef Burrito $2.99
Not really a new menu item at this point, but I was at Taco Bell and realized that I have yet to try something of the Volcano Menu. First impression…this is pretty good. Nice balance between cheesy beef and rice. What I really liked here was the tortilla strips. It added a crunchy texture that I really liked.
What else can you say really! It’s a normal Taco Bell Burrito with some crunchies a little more meat and Lava Sauce.
Would I Buy It Again? No. I only say this because of the value factor, it tasted just fine. I agree with Grub Grade’s review. The Cheesy Double Beef Burrito is $.99 and I am not sure where TB is figuring out how to charge $2.00 extra for so little. However, it was a pretty good and one of the better burritos from TB in a while except for the Bacon Cheesy Burrito.

“What else can you say really! It’s a normal Taco Bell Burrito with some crunchies a little more meat and Lava Sauce.” – Well just to give you a hard time….that’s a couple things that set it apart
I do wonder what they guys would say and how much it’d cost to order the $.99 cheesy beef burrito with extra beef, “some crunchies” and Lava sauce….anyone wanna venture?
Speaking of GrubGrade’s (Ryan) review, that’s what is great about Taco Bell, the fact that you can customize. I really want to get a Crunchwrap Supreme with Lava Sauce. Did you know those damn Maple Leaf red and white bastards already have the Volcano Crunchwrap, WTF?!?

I’m so jealous. If you can’t tell TB is my favorite fast food joint
I might test your theory with the cheesy beef burrito. Hmmm… Is it bad to say that I have yet to try a Crunchwrap?! I will try the Volcano Crunchwrap when it comes out though.
Crunchwraps are actually pretty good. They were part of the Big Box meals a few months ago. I had never had one, but since it was included in the meal, I gave it a try and it was pretty solid. I don’t think I’d ever order it over the regular menu by itself, but I will eat it if it is part of a combo meal.
That’s a nice random piece of lettuce thrown in here. I’ve found that you can add Lava sauce to anything you want for an additional .30 cents, so paying $2.99 for this thing is ridiculous. Get the cheesy double beef burrito with Volcano sauce for $1.29. Essentially the same thing.
Didn’t notice the lettuce, but you are right, ha! I think that I am going to go there and see what they charge me when I add lava, crunchies and basically mod the .99 burrito into this one.
Sweet! Let us know, I’m curious as to how much you can hack the TB menu
