Revisit: I Sushi Cafe

Author: WIBIA | Filed under: Food Reviews, Location: Carmel, IN, Recommended: Independent

Remember my I Sushi Cafe review last month?  No reason to review this again, but I had another great meal there last week.  A little too much sauce on the sushi (for my taste), but it was really good.  For landlocked-middle-of-Indiana-sushi, it is not bad at all.  If you are in Carmel, IN check them out.  A strong Yes to the age old question… Would I Buy It Again?

  1. Diznammn son!!!! That looks pic. Ship me the leftovers :P

  2. Ha! I will ship sushi if you ship pizza. I like pizza a lot better than sushi anyway.

  3. That’s not fair….day old pizza is not the same as day old sushi (eehhh).

  5. Based on your recommendation, my friends and I are going to check this place out. I’m a sushi virgin, so I’m not sure what to expect. Can you find out exactly what’s in the various offerings before you order? I’m kind of picky, and I’d like to know what’s going to be in the sushi I order.

  6. Yeah, the menu is pretty descriptive and if you have questions sit at the bar. I talked to the chef a little and there wasn’t a language problem. The menu is actually online, so you can check out a few things before. I have to warn you, the place is really casual and right off the bat you may wonder why I recommend it. But if you are looking for pretty good sushi, reasonable prices in a laid back environment, then it is a winner. I thought that the salmon sashimi was really nice both times I had it. Try the kobe beef and grab a few rolls and you will be all set.

  7. Whatever the glop of stuff is on that plate, it bears no resemblance to sushi. This, evidently, is an Indiana, bastardized version of Japanese food. I’ve never been there, but that plate of food disguised as sushi would certainly steer me clear of it.
