Southwest Breakfast Wrap
$5-$6 didn’t write it down, but somewhere around there.
Scrambled Eggs, Bacon, Black Beans, Corn, Jicama, Cheddar Cheese wrapped in a Chipotle Tortilla and Picante Sauce.
When I see breakfast items that have a southwest flavor, I usually order it. I love the combination of salsa and eggs. Especially tomatillo based (green) salsa with eggs.
I am not sure how else to say it, but this was pretty lousy. The filling was not all that fresh, I didn’t taste any jicama and the cheese was waxy. One other thing that I hate is really fluffy eggs. These were super spongy and has the consistency of a wet flip-flop.
I take pride in my knowledge of southwest food, and when it is butchered this bad, I take offense. What did I do to deserve this? All of these ingredients sound good, but it was a major let down. The tortilla wrap was supposed to be a Chipotle Wrap… yeah right, there was nothing Chipotle about it. The salsa was Pace Picante-esq. That was bad too.
Not did it taste bad, but it was horrible for you! Check out the nutrition facts. 760 calories, 36g fat. Remember, Paradise Bakery is deceivingly unhealthy for you.
Would I Buy It Again? No. if you are going to go for a breakfast burrito at a chain, head to Qdoba. Qdoba’s is still bad for you, but at least it tastes great.

Yeah man….from the sounds of it I would’ve guessed this to be amazing. Sorry to your tastebuds for having to endure this.
The menu description is great but the picture says it all – it looks disgusting for a breakfast burrito!
That wrap looks awesome. Even though you wouldn’t buy it again, if I ever came across it, I would have to give it a shot. I haven’t yet tried the Q’doba breakfast burrito so I wouldn’t have that to compare it to. I think breakfast wraps/burritos are awesome…I’m a fan. At least the picture you took looks great.
Well the bad part is that Qdoba is right across from Paradise and I had to sit there and eat this while looking at Qdoba. Not cool.
@ Bear.. Ha! My tastebuds have had a lot worse
@ Jess… Welcome!
@ Ryan… I have a good friend that loves this, so it just might be me. Dump the picante for a fresh pico and change the eggs and waxy cheese and they would be on to something. The corn/bacon mixture was not all that bad. Not a bad pic for my cell phone?! I try not to carry my camera into restaurants!
Yeah man…when a picture makes me hungry it’s a good pic…whether it’s from a cell or not. Maybe it’s just me though…I’m hungry pretty often.
@WIBIA – Do tell? I love to hear horror stories
@Ryan – Hahahahahhaha. Question…you a fan of buffets or not?
OK, to me, it looks just as awful as you described it!
I’m not sure why, but I feel an urge to reply to this. The thing with the breakfast burrito, from the picture, yes it seems that it was made with quite a bit more than a the regular one should have. My arguments, is that based on the picture in the store, it’s not horribly far off. To make my reply more fair, I’ve worked as just a normal employee at the paradise bakery in glendale for almost three years. Over those three years, I have eaten, literally EVERY item on the menu, and to make things a bit more fair, I think you should have probably tried a bit more of the menu items, besides just the review, If you’ve never eaten at a paradise bakery, and read this, people are surely missing out. Lunches especially. So, I wanted to say, im sorry you had such a horrible experience with the breakfast wrap, but with so much business we pull in, there must be something about our items people are coming in for?
Type in “Paradise” on the search function of the site and you will see that we tackled lunch as well. I never said that Paradise was bad, just this wrap. I enjoy their muffins, soups, and a few other things. The site commonly reviews a product from a restaurant, we rarely go there and order 10 things and then rate the restaurant as a whole. I had a bite of one of the breakfast sandwiches and that was equally as bad. 760 calories is a lot for this as well. Paradise has 1 sandwich under 600 calories for lunch and that needs some work as well.
You don’t have to apologize, you didn’t make this wrap! Thanks for stopping by and for your thoughts.
