Review: Starbucks Double Chocolaty Chip Frappuccino Blended Creme

Have a longer title for a drink! I am not a big coffee fan, once in a while a latte, but that is as far as I go.
The Frapuccino Chips were blended with ice and I thought it was too grainy. It was a little sweet for my liking and the mocha drizzle was a non factor (mostly because it stuck to the lid, you can see that in the pic). The best way I can think to describe the taste…1/2 coffee, 1/2 watered-down milkshake.
Would I Buy It Again? No. I want my $3.50 back. Can I also have my 380 calories and 14g’s of fat back as well? We had a tall and I am glad we shared it. Nutrition facts are on the Starbucks website.

I hate these things. I can’t believe how much sugar, fat, calories are in them. What I hate even more are the people that think it doesn’t matter because it’s a “drink”. People get these (Venti even) with a Maple Oat Nut Scone and think it’s breakfast. That’s worse than my dessert…on my birthday. I’m glad you won’t be buying this again

You’re right, good eye. From the website – Rich mocha syrup, Frappuccino® chips and milk, blended with ice, topped with whipped cream (optional), mocha drizzle. Maybe the coffee taste was from the Frappuccino Chips, either way…not good.

Hmmm. This is among my favorite items at SB, so it’s kinda weird reading a bad review of it. For the reasons you mentioned, I totally can understand your dislike of this. Maybe this sort of thing appeals to a different kind of person, but I have fallen in love with fraps ever since I had one. If you’re not so much on the “grainy” aspect, try Vanilla Bean with a flavor shot (hazelnut and peppermint are both quite flavorful). And yeah, I rarely get anything larger than a Grande. Ventis are too much, IMO.

I personally really like this one…but I will agree that it is way way to grainy. I have had it a couple times and sometimes (depending on who is making it) it will be smooth or really grainy. They are an awful lot of calories for a drink tho, could get a meal out of that!

I can’t believe McDonald’s is trying to sell “gourmet” coffee. Who the hell is going to go to a cheap fast food restaruant for a mocha?
Oh i am absolutely in love with double chocolaty chip… its my fav drink at SB … for that matter, my fav drink anywhere else too ….
I love the grainy texture of choc chips, i just order mine with a little less ice, so that i can start sipping it from the word go…
and yes i often order the VENTI!!!
guess thats where my extra pounds came from!!!
But yes i do understand the criticism… but its good for my soul.. once in a while…

i am really surprised at those who have a bad review, i love this drink, but can only buy it every now and then as it is quite expensive.
yes it does have a lot of calories but i am not that sad as to read what they all are no it doesn’t matter ( if you are not over weight already, or have bad health conditions)

they made it wrong for you thats why mine was made perfectly try anoter starbucks if anything cuz it taste so good the messed up yours and didnt blend yours or maybe you gotta tell them well blend i dont the did me justice at my starbucks it was make absolutly great and it taste so good lol good luck !!!
