Review: Arby's Bacon & Bleu Roastburger
Author: indianapoliseater | Filed under: Food ReviewsOur fearless leader already reviewed the Arby’s All-American Roastburger, so I’ll pick up and add on another one of the three options. I love Bleu cheese, hence…
What I Ate: Bacon & Bleu Roastburger with combo. (I had a coupon for a free Roastburger with purchase of fries and drink) $3.58
As with the previously reviewed All-American Roastburger, this sandwich was served on a split-top bun. The bun tasted the same as their regular buns so it really had no sort of impact on me other than the visual difference.
The “burger” was topped with lettuce, onion, tomato, bacon and bleu cheese dressing/sauce. The toppings were soggy, the bacon was basically non-existent and the sauce/dressing was horribly runny. Honestly, this sandwich made a huge mess with everything dripping everywhere.
As for the taste, it was mediocre at best. If I’m going to order something with bleu cheese, I want that flavor to be one of the first that I taste and it wasn’t. Also, I couldn’t taste the bacon because of the limited amount that they put on the sandwich. The only positive to this sandwich was that it was quite filling and did have a pretty large amount of roast beef on it.
Would I Buy It Again? No, I would try something else. I like Arby’s (LOVE the curly fries) and would go back, but this is not something I would ever think of ordering again.
Instead? I’ll stick with the chicken fingers and the chicken, bacon & swiss sandwiches from now on. Those are what Arby’s does well and did I mention I love the curly fries?!
