Note to McDonalds: Bring back Beef Wennington or else!

This week, I was happy to see the McRib back on the menu. It made me think of discontinued food that I want back. The Beef Wennington is at the top of my list. If you lived in Chicagoland in the late 90′s, then you know there were better days than Fruit and Yogurt Parfaits.(Yes, I meant that to rhyme).

Beef Wennington – A burger solely offered in the Chicago area in the late 1990s, named after former Chicago Bulls player Bill Wennington. It featured a single (Quarter pound) patty topped with cheese, onions, barbecue sauce and a slice of Canadian bacon.
I searched high and low for a picture and I can’t find one. If you have one, send it to me.
So McDonald’s…listen up here. I get about 10 hits per millisecond on my site…and all of us will boycott. Don’t test me, I am serious.
If you think that I am joking, we did the same boycott at Rax in the 80′s. 504 stores now down to 11. Hot ‘n Now was at 104 stores until we hit them…now they are selling Rainbow Trout Sliders. Check them out.
Making the same sandwich with a different name is not even a conversation on the table. That is how I debate!
If I don’t have a Beef Wennington by 9/1/2009, my relationship with McDonalds will end.

Seriously, you like the sliders? What so they charge for a hamburger now? I remember when we had one in town in the 90′s, it was $.39
They charge 69 cents. Yeah the trout sliders were good. Although I don’t know if they still have them.

It is now 9/2/09 and I have heard nothing about this sandwich from Mickey D’s. Are you still planning on boycotting?
Funny, I almost forgot about this. Well, now that they have bacon (thought it is not Canadian Bacon), you could swap out some of the shit on the Bacon Cheddar burger and make a Angus Third Pounder Wennington. That could really be something.
I am going to try doing that in the next week or so and see what they say. I have been a little upset about the lack of response from MCD.
