If you live in Indy, you know that if I reviewed the entire restaurant at once, I would be reduced to fast food within a few months. So I will just focus on what I ate at each place.
What I ate:
Hot Wings
Price: 8.5 (= $8.50, not my rating, just the f-ed up way they have it written on the menu. I should’ve paid with 8.5 Tums and called it even)
Hot wings, they are about on every bar menu and chain pizza places carry them as well. The point is, everyone has them… and pretty much everyone else’s are better.
11 Wings to an order, served on some iceberg lettuce, celery and some stale carrot sticks. The carrot stick were fanned in a way that they reminded me of an arthritic hand. Seriously though, if it doesn’t look good, don’t serve it. Back to the wings. Fried, skin was left on and they were an average size. The biggest problem was the amount of buffalo sauce, there was a ton of it. It made me think of bobbing for Buffalo Wings. The sauce was a little vinegar heavy for my taste. After 6 wings, I gave up and threw in the white flag.
Service was attentive and Daddy Jacks is a cool place to grab a drink during work hours when no one is looking. However, steer clear form the Hot Wings.
Would I buy it again: No
Instead:
Make the trip to Hot Shotz at I69 and 96th for the wings.
Cheers,
-WIBIA
